As the in‑house engineering hub of STRABAG and ZÜBLIN, Zentrale Technik (ZT) brings together all key technical disciplines and supports the entire construction lifecycle with over 1,300 employees across 35 locations. From tendering and detailed design to digital modelling and execution support, ZT provides integrated solutions for projects of any size.

ZT’s expertise spans architecture, structural engineering, geotechnics, façades, technical building equipment, turnkey construction, tunnelling and process management. With advanced methods and digital tools such as BIM 5D, they ensure real‑time coordination of design, cost and scheduling data.

Focused on innovation and sustainability, ZT develops resource‑efficient solutions and lifecycle‑oriented planning models, strengthening STRABAG’s long‑term competitiveness and helping shape future‑ready engineering standards.

  • Zentrale Technik Stuttgart – Main engineering hub

    The largest ZT location in Stuttgart brings together the Group’s key technical expertise and provides essential support to STRABAG Luxembourg. With around 650 engineers and specialists, the hub covers structural engineering, geotechnics, tunnelling, turnkey construction, digital engineering, technical risk assessment and BIM coordination. It supports the full construction process from acquisition to detailed design and on‑site guidance.

    For STRABAG Luxembourg, Stuttgart acts as a high‑capacity engineering resource. It delivers structural and geotechnical analysis, digital modelling, façade and MEP planning, and Lean Construction support. The hub also manages patent protection, tool development and software optimisation to ensure consistent technical standards across the Group.

    This structure allows STRABAG Luxembourg to rely on a broad technical foundation without maintaining large in‑house engineering capacities, enabling agile and efficient project delivery across the country.

    Complementing Stuttgart, the ZT location in Karlsruhe provides additional engineering support relevant to building construction. The team contributes expertise in structural design, civil engineering and tender preparation, offering flexible technical assistance whenever needed by STRABAG Luxembourg.

    Karlsruhe works closely with Stuttgart, sharing knowledge, digital tools and specialist resources. This cooperation ensures that STRABAG Luxembourg can access quick, targeted engineering support for both routine and complex building projects, securing continuity and high technical quality throughout each project phase.
